Stay safe and warm out there!
Arctic Fronts cause sudden drastic drops in temperature and carry with them dangerous wind gusts.
Check on friends and neighbors of advanced age to make sure they are staying warm.
If you must be outside during extreme cold (thank you to all essential workers) keep an eye out for signs of cold related injuries like frost bite and hypothermia.
Take time now to bring in outside pets and animals in your care. Sheltering them from deadly temperatures and windchills is not only nice, it’s the law.
Section 5532 of Title 18, Act 10 under the Pennsylvania General Assembly, a case is considered animal neglect if the dog is deprived of "...access to clean and sanitary shelter which will protect the animal against inclement weather and preserve the animal's body heat and keep it dry."www.ready.gov/winter-weather ... Who’s responsibility is it to remove snow from sidewalks and street where there are handicap entrances? Not only for the handicap, but also for the kids trying to get on the buses.
Will the borough make sure all roads are passable and clear of snow/ice before clearing all of Bangor park this yr ?
