- BURN BAN: A burn ban is currently in effect for Bangor Borough. All outdoor burning, including campfires, bonfires, and open fires, is strictly prohibited until further notice.
- TEMPORARY CURFEW: Bangor Borough has temporarily changed the curfew for minors under the age of 18 to 10 pm. It shall be unlawful for any minor to remain idle, wander, stroll or play in any public place on foot or to drive or cruise without a set destination in any vehicle in, about or upon any public place in the Borough between the hours of 10 pm and 5 am unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Any person found in violation of this curfew shall, upon conviction in a summary proceeding before a District Magistrate, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $50.00 and not more than $1,000.00 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to incarceration in the County prison for not more than 30 days.

- NOW HIRING: Bangor Borough is now hiring a Pool Manager/Recreation Coordinator for the 2026 Summer season. The pool will be open from approximately May 30th until August 23rd. - NOW HIRING: Seasonal Public Works Employee-Bangor Borough is now hiring for the 2026 summer season! We are looking for a seasonal public works employee to help perform routine maintenance care of Borough buildings and grounds as assigned including but not limited to mowing parks and Borough properties, weed whack and use leaf blower, pull weeds and maintain landscaped areas, pick up branches, leaves and trash. Hours are from 8 am until 2 pm, Monday through Friday. Pay range is $12-$13.50/hours. Must be 16 or older to apply. - iWorQ– Starting in 2026, Bangor Borough will be utilizing software through iWorQ to help streamline the rental registration process. Landlords will be able to access the program by clicking here.

- Board Vacancies- Bangor Borough currently has the following board vacancies: (1) Park Board seat; (1) Vacancy Board chairperson seat; Anyone that is interested in serving on any of these boards should submit a letter of interest to the Bangor Borough Administration Office at 197 Pennsylvania, Bangor, PA 18013.
- Yard Waste Dumpsters– The yard waste dumpsters have been restored with revised hours to help prevent illegal dumping (Wednesday 8am – Friday 2pm). The dumpsters will have to be removed again if illegal use/dumping continues: NO GRASS, DIRT, BAGS, TRASH OR OTHER DEBRIS ALLOWED
